Interesting idea! As a side note, you'd probably want to make sure the province containing the "itembearer" units doesn't have any connections to other provinces, to make certain that no-one...

IMO, the mod commands themselves are relatively easy, especially if you've ever done any scripting or programming before. The only hard parts are a few of the more esoteric things like multi-form...

Use Unix style line endings (LF only) vs. Windows/DOS style (CR + LF). Two LF characters = 1 line break in the game display.

You might need an alternative editor for that; I suggest Notepad++...

No, but the sword onebattlespell-casts Protection of the Sepulchre (http://dom3.servegame.com/wiki/Protection_of_the_Sepulchre) which somewhat mitigates the effect of Banishment.

I find that occasionally the game doesn't actually place the province, even though it appears valid in the map file. Not sure why, but (since it's for single player) I've never bothered...

Note that the "#dt_magic" tag doesn't do any of those effects (it's double damage to magic beings.)

You could achieve some of the effect that you're looking for with secondary effects, btw. ...

There is a known bug whereby if your commander wearing the Armor of Virtue moves on their first turn, the armor can miss when auto-casting. For that reason, you should always script "hold" or "cast"...
