Re: MP YARG4, non newb LA RAND game. WL wins

Heh, I'm quite familiar with what you tried to do. I did the same thing in some other no diplo game, where I managed to draw two more nations into conflict and there was no way I'd fall for it. :)
I...

Re: MP YARG4, non newb LA RAND game. WL wins

Sure!

Sorry Danbo if I insulted you, WL summed it up pretty nice here. It is as he says, it seemed pretty irrational to me, but I'm sure it can be said about all of us at some point.

Re: MP YARG4, non newb LA RAND game. WL wins

Executor, in YARG3 (see link (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showpost.php?p=807127&postcount=250)) both me and Eriu would have attacked and maybe stopped you had it not been for a silly conflict...

Re: MP YARG4, non newb LA RAND game. WL wins

BTW, WL, you really need to do have fixed start next time. The random starts in this game were a disaster. A few nations had remarkably good starting position with not a single nation next to them...

Re: MP YARG4, non newb LA RAND game. WL wins

I didn't steal Marginon provinces, I took former C'tis provinces before Pangaea did. In the end I had maybe 2 or 3 Marginon provinces and probably 3 C'tis ones. You could have easily stopped with...

Re: MP YARG4, non newb LA RAND game. WL wins

Seriously? I let the giant grow? I had no border with Caelum until he attacked Arco and that was not that many turns before I attack him. I'm pretty sure I wasn't in a position to *stop* him from...

Re: MP YARG4, non newb LA RAND game.8/19 players left

:D
Sorry about that!
Tried to take advantage and grab your capital before Caelum showed up but that didn't go so well.

Re: MP YARG4, non newb LA RAND game.8/19 players left

Congrats WL, well played.

I had everything planned to perfection and than TC screwed me and turned AI. The plan was to hit you while you were occupied with TC and to have TC take on a part of...

Re: MoI - Memories of Ice, EA non newb game - Ongoing

Okay, finally,
Here's my original PM to WL, I think it explains everything;

Pangaeas had two stales so I can try to find a sub still, not too much damage done. Even with Utter Dark cast last...

Re: MoI - Memories of Ice, EA non newb game - Ongoing

Sorry for not answering WL, some relatives are staying over with me for the annual book fair. I'll make a throughout post tomorrow to answer anything, especially why I'm dropping out.

Re: MoI - Memories of Ice, EA non newb game - Ongoing

Hey, I take offense to that!

There. Fixed that for you! ;)

Thanks for playing it out till the end Dogged57! It's been a great game so far, at least for me, with everyone sticking it out to...

Re: MoI - Memories of Ice, EA non newb game - Ongoing

WL, I need some 12 hours on the turn please. My turn is mostly done but I don't have internet access home and probably won't have tonight either as it seems. I'll send it in tomorrow morning from...

Re: MoI - Memories of Ice, EA non newb game - Ongoing

Yeah, I charmed Illwinter Skratti, but tehnically you still hold the global. It's possible to steal a global holding commander but it isn't possible to steal the global itself under any...

Re: MoI - Memories of Ice, EA non newb game - Ongoing

While yes I am!

Let's see; I've already turned water to blood (all those poor ice elementals tainted with the blood of maenads), and I've smitten all thy borders with frogs. Than I unleashed...

Re: MoI - Memories of Ice, EA non newb game - Ongoing

Treachery! Fire and blood, hecks and curses, plagues and banefires!
The foul lizard of C'tis has lain siege to the good, kind hearted giants of Niefelheim!
Step no further foul lizards! The icy...

Re: MoI - Memories of Ice, EA non newb game - Ongoing

Hmmm, that didn't go down as planned. I scripted wrong, and there were too many ice elementals. I also forgot about that air dome on your cap. This was a bad turn for me. Lost a lot of Pans.
Did you...

Re: MoI - Memories of Ice, EA non newb game - Ongoing

WL, I ran into some PC problems. I will most probably have everything fixed by tonigh but could you delay the game a bit for me just in case? I'd rather not stale again.

Re: MoI - Memories of Ice, EA non newb game - Ongoing

Dogged has made an entrance, now it's time to bow down and leave the stage. ;)

Time for WL to step up! Central isle or north for crossing over, what will it be than?
And Lanka too of course. Take...

Re: Awestruck. New Late Age game. (Started)

Sorry everyone, I thought this game ended a week ago. Didn't bother to check the game thread since I have email notifications set up and no emails came up.

I'll set myself AI too. Cheers guys.

Re: Awestruck. New Late Age game. (Started)

That's exactly what I meant about mobility.

And raiding too btw. Amhazir, you could have easily sent at least a dozen more raiding parties like that. You certainly had the troops for it. On the...

Re: Awestruck. New Late Age game. (Started)

Very true this last part. Actually, I'm quite certain you did overestimate the rest of us. I was the, what; third, forth nation by power? I had absolutely nothing going on the entire game. A complete...

Re: Awestruck. New Late Age game. (Started)

No. Not even a coordinated attack could have done much. Trust me, I've seen and fought through a lot of these situations and I've seen far worse nations than yours come out winner in all of them.
