Re: OT: need help installing Win98SE on new HD

I switched back to the new HD and went through a few more iterations of: open device manager, remove the problem device, reboot, try to find drivers for...

Re: OT: need help installing Win98SE on new HD

My ethernet card is working fine under the new setup. My machine can "see" the others on the LAN, and vice versa, and share printers and files. You are right, however, that I cannot connect to the...

Re: OT: need help installing Win98SE on new HD

Don't I need to be Online for the update to work? The modem isn't working with that setup. Oh well, I'll shut down and switch drives and give it a try - maybe it will be able to find what it needs on...

OT: need help installing Win98SE on new HD

My hard-drive is dying - it has been making strange noises and my "most-used" program lately is Scandisk - and more bad sectors are found almost every time it runs. I bought a new HD and decided to...

Re: OT- Impact of an asteriod hitting Eastern USA

So small in size? Out of all the nations on Earth, the USA is something like 5th or 6th in both geographical size and population. That's small?

Re: OT-Way OT, Michael Jackson in prison?

Oh well, cnn.com (http://www.cnn.com) has the story headlined. Looks like he is already out on bail.

Re: OT-Way OT, Michael Jackson in prison?

No, I'm sure he would get snet to a Club Fed or be in some sort of protective custody, not in general inmate population - and probably not required to make any license plates or do any other chores,...

Re: OT-Way OT, Michael Jackson in prison?

Darn, I saw your subject line and was hoping they had finally nailed him for child endangerment, child abuse, child assault, or some variation thereon.

Re: Do you play non-PC/console space combat games ?

I haven't played them in years, but I do have quite a few non-PC space games, mostly stored away in boxes "somewhere".

WarpWar - fantastic game, played it a lot back in high school and college. It...
