Re: This game is an expensive coaster

But Kagetori was extremely rude, and he gets the unheard of break.

Can you see how this would seem to encourage discourtesy?<<<<

Actually, considering I have been called several actual names...

Re: This game is an expensive coaster

Kagetora,
Just as a note; none of the mods in mod pack or my mods (ResearchDesign or Klingons, Romulans, Shadows, etc) actually give the AI an advantage. All they do is better optimise the way in...

Re: This game is an expensive coaster

No, it looks like you are lacking in patience and are having a public snit over it.<<<<

Yeah, I am lacking in patience I only waited for 8 months without saying anything. Oh and the thing about...

Re: This game is an expensive coaster

Was it ever really advertised? I only remeber it being mentioned as 'planned'. Post me a quote and I may feel otherwise.<<<<

What's the difference? Read the malfador news where at both...

Re: This game is an expensive coaster

Everyone has the right to their opinion. Complaints about the ai or requests for tcp/ip are valid points. Calling Aaron and Richard criminals (before you say he didn't call Aaron a criminal, look up...

Re: This game is an expensive coaster

Unless your turns are really short, integrated TCP/IP support will not speed up your game significantly over the other options out there.<<<<

Well frankly I put this game on the back burner only...

Re: This game is an expensive coaster

If you feel you have bought a defective product then you should probably ask for your money back.<<<<

Actually I did ask for my money back in writing and was told it was against their policy to...

Re: This game is an expensive coaster

So in some respects I must share Kagetora's complains: SE4 was an unfinished product when it was released. It has improved since then but is still lacking features which were originally promised....

Re: This game is an expensive coaster

Richard has totally crossed the line. Not only has he rationalized that this game was never really intended to have TCP/IP which anybody that has been here for any length of time knows to be false...

Re: This game is an expensive coaster

Kagetora is none other than BillB who has been beating up Richard about SE4 over at cdmag. Nice to see you took Bob's advice and moved your criticism over here. Your Posts are always a fun read....

Re: This game is an expensive coaster

Not surprisingly, you people have no clue what you are talking about. Those that feel as I do about this game haven't been sitting here posting about how great this unfinished product is. We have...

Re: This game is an expensive coaster

I didn't really expect any sympathy here as obviously anybody who thinks spending months playing this game a turn every 2 days with the complexities involved doubles for internet play is a whole case...

This game is an expensive coaster

Well I played the demo of this game way back in September of Last year. I knew from the demo that the AI was pathetic to the point of non existance. I liked the design and figured it would be fun to...

Re: What does KT really mean??

Well I would suppose they are using the same system that nuclear weapons use in which a kiloton is 1000 tons and a megaton is 1 million tons. I would point out that naval vessals on water aren't...

Computer gaming world review

Not only is it a big deal that a game that wasn't from a big publisher got a printed review in the magazine but it got a 4 stars out of 5. 5 is reserved for games of the year bascially under their...

Re: Newborn race?

You can click on "hide obsolete" and they won't show up anymore just as good as deleting them. I usually just edit the designs I don't have enough tech for and just replace the tech until it works....

Re: Ring and Sphereworlds

Well of course a whole planet only being able to build one thing at a time is artificial. However as with any game it doesn't matter so much what is realistic it matters what is playable and fun. It...

Re: Finite resources

Yes I don't like finite resources at all the way it is either. Since you can't keep forever building storage especially early you have to try and balance your output all the time. Which is a pain in...

Yeah I noticed the production bug. I keep getting resources even after they were gone. If spheres and ringworld have less resources than they cost to build they aren't even practical in a finite game...

Re: Ring and Sphereworlds

Lintman you are not twice as old as me unless you happen to be 80. In any event exploits like this could hurt in a multiplayer situation. If I don't know about such an exploit and by using...
