Re: Game talk
I didn't build that fortress, I found it. As far as I know, most nations can only find underwater fortresses or create them by magic. But I think there is a higher number of hidden underwater forts...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players
I know it's kind of close to the deadline, but can I get a bit of an extension this turn? Just 8 hours would do. My orders for this turn have taken a very long time. I have an hour at lunch to...

Re: Why would my archers ignore \"Fire Closest\" ord
I've had ranged units lose arms, thereby losing the ability to fire, without invalidating the whole squad's orders. I kind of liked it actually, it gave me a couple scattered decoys without having...

Patala is also selling items. Specifically hammers. We will take payment in any form of gem except fire or air (and you can even mix and match). Bidding starts at 17 gems.

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players
I know they'll go for a valuable target. I thought they still had to be able to see the target, though. So I tried to obscure line of sight. So does line of sight not matter (for this at least) or...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players
Hmmm, we had another battle where that Monstrum got enslaved. This time, I put a bunch of guys (with brains) in front of him to screen. But he still got targetted by the enslaves right off the bat....

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players
Well, some of the time I was sneaking my scouts with my army. And then that didn't work, so I guessed that maybe stealth movement came before rituals, so I started moving them one step behind my...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players
Yeah, that was a hillarious fight. I was upset when he (my highest HP guy) got enslaved, and then when I noticed my guys started casting charm on him, I was really excited and rooting for him. And...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players
I think it would have been worth it. I've had plenty of time when I couldn't afford to recruit mages at all my forts to grab scouts. And they're nearly free (20). Your nukes have totally dominated...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players
So that I can learn, can somebody explain the proper way to use scout decoys? I've had more scout decoys than real commanders every time R'yleh has cast nukes at me for the past 30 turns. The only...

Re: Game talk
I've had good, erm, luck with the luck scale in the past. But it's random. In my opinion, the luck scale can be good, but it is more useful to get rid of some of the very bad events, like plagues,...

Re: Game talk
I have a question about the end of the game. If players ally, can they share the victory? Or is it required that we arrive at one winner? Either by fighting or agreeing.
I ask because we're...

Patala is also interested in buying gems. We want nature gems so that we can grow yummy magical bannanas. We will pay 20 gold per nature gem.

Re: Astral Corruption
Any idea if having a forge bonus helps protect you from AC when crafting? Or a site bonus when casting? Because of the reduced number of gems I mean.

I was actually waiting since I thought BigandScary wouldn't have a turn in anyway. Would it be useful for me to get a turn in now?

Yeah, they died. Even flying guys need somewhere adjacent to retreat to. I got a whole page of "(Name) died while retreating into enemy territory" messages.
