Re: Balance without a Mod? A Discussion (Long)

Point me to one place where an experienced player is arguing with another experienced player about chassis choices for pretenders? Case in point, cb mod, one of the changes was made if you noticed to...

Re: Balance without a Mod? A Discussion (Long)

When did I assume this?

Regarding Frank's post.

You do not get higher than dom 5 for a dual bless. Dual bless requires scales that cannot pay for more than 4 hel/van/niefel's per recruit,...

Re: Balance without a Mod? A Discussion (Long)

The ability to have a strong early game is absolutely essential to a competitive nation. Faster expansion always snowballs into a BIG advantage regardless of what most people think. Take Patala for...

Re: Balance without a Mod? A Discussion (Long)

Seems to me that if someone bids the exact amount you have left over after enough points to run a dual bless, no one will be dumb enough to bid higher to get a lamer version of the nation.

Re: Good to go on a Mac!

Hey qm, I think Van's are a bit too expensive right now. I know you're wary of the dual blessed vans but 110 IMO is too much. It pretty much axed the unit along with the fact that the rebalancing...

Re: The Quick and The Dead (Accelerated Start) [OP

Re: Why the heck are samurai\'s so high resource?

Heh, that's actually what I do as well. Separation of powers if you will =). Still I can't help but feel ripped off everytime I produce them, not because of the gold but simply because my resources...

Why the heck are samurai\'s so high resource?

I just don't see the justification. Without shields, they seem to die en masse to almost everything. Which is a problem when you can't even mass them. Sure they're incredibly gold efficient but I...

Re: The Quick and The Dead (Accelerated Start) [OP

Actually disregard this, I think I want to play after all. But switch my nation to Patala?

Re: The Quick and The Dead (Accelerated Start) [OP

Jomon please. Also I'd like to vote no water nations with this sort of start.

Re: Help Me Take Down a Vastness

If I recall, you can actually "wrap around" the map with sailing. It's actually tremendously useful IMO if you're adept at raiding. Also you're having trouble against vastness because conventional...

Re: foodstamp

Actually I was intending to sign up till I noticed it wasn't cb modded and all the good nations were taken and I didn't feel like spending many months with EA Ryleh =\.

Re: foodstamp

My post was independent of anyone else's post, so I'm not sure where your bandwagon comment came from. If anyone, I only posted to stop the anti -CB mod bandwagon that already seemed forming thanks...

Re: foodstamp

You're right. Looking over it, I pretty much wasn't clear in my intent. CB balances the scales a LOT more than base game. In base game, the only scale you need to take is Order 3, you can fudge...

Re: foodstamp

So you didn't notice the part where I said that cb offers a lot less in leeway of "free scale points" than vanilla? I can't say I'm surprised with this development.

Should I point out that those players (no disrespect to them) who voted for him are not vets and 2) many people who are decidedly NOT dangerous players are also voted in that threat?

Since you pretty much profess to being an [censored], I don't know what your claim of "decent guy" really amounts to. And as for being a good player, I highly doubt that considering his post content.

Re: The Middle Way - Faerun EA [Recruiting]

It is very much unfinished. But if you think vanilla is finished in that sense, then you are sooooooooooooooo off.
