I like the 'fog of war' setting, BUT I do agree with Demorve that ships should see the whole system. If it were in a Nebulae/Cosmic Cloud then I could see limited detection. (Good idea for a mod) ...

It's still a mod, with the PLAYER ultimately designing the ships. If you don't want somebody doing something that could upset balance of the ship designs then it would be better to hardwire the...

Yea! I know it's kinda annoying, but all you can do is go in loaded for bear. Unless it's a Capitol world, I try to have three medium or two large transports (mid-game) for planetary invasions....

You do not have to worry about ending the turn on the point of mine laying. As long as you don't try to lay two sets of mines within one turn you will be fine giving repeat orders to the laying point...
