maybe a cloak that also sweeps mines. That way cloaked ships can pass through mine fields undetected. Then scanning Sats would be useful.

The whole point of this post is that the AI has gotten a little better since the Last patch.
There was no way to know what kind of ship I was going to get until after I accepted the trade.
