Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

Ouch! You charmed him? How many tries did it take? That guy had at least 24 MR I think.

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

No, actually you didn't. Well, I hated the first one too. I hope this one goes a little better.

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

I have also forseen my own destruction. We went over that. I have more recently forseen yours. I am not surprised you don't see how the God of Invincible Power could destroy himself. Let me...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

Do you not realise that I, WonderLlama, am the Guardian of the Dead? It is my sacred responsibility to protect these poor dead souls from abuse by those such as you and the vanquished god of Ermor. ...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

Keep it up. As you can see, the people are listening. And your people are turning on you and beginning to worship me.

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

Really? I haven't seen any Arco troops in your armies. I expect if we ever do, they will be accompanied by large head scars and drool.

Good vs. Evil isn't that complicated. Just take a look. ...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

Sure sure. There are no defections. There is no army of giant angels at your doorstep. You aren't mind controlling everyone. And you spew no propaganda.

There is an important difference...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

Please. Those undead merely defected from your evil tyranny. Even the dead are sick of your sick, twisted, alien brain control.

Re: Recruiting players for a new Newbies game

I'm interested too. Random nations sounds like a really good idea to me. I'd like to second the suggestion of no water nations.

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

Oh, I'm not quitting. Don't worry about that. And I've enjoyed this game tremendously, and think I will still enjoy it.

I'm just saying that was the tipping point. Unless something very...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

No one in our alliance has anything set up to attack the sea. So at least for the moment, your troops coming out of the sea seemed like a bigger threat than we could bring to bear on your water...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

Well, that's pretty much it. I think the forces of good are defeated.

A small force of elite Caelum mages and an Air Queen confronted one of Abyssia's large devil armies. They were set up to...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

Oh, ok, you edited your post. Did Llamabeast mean to give us an extra 24 hours when he reset the timer? Or did he just think that's when it was supposed to be?

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

Er, ok I was making no sense when I wrote that. It was 1:20 my time, 17:20 server time that it said the turn was due 17:14 Tuesday October 23rd. And it stayed that way for a while, and I was...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

I could have sworn 10 minutes ago the game page correctly said the deadline was today. About 20 minutes ago. Now it says the 23rd, as you say. Did you see it that way too, Sensori, or did I just...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

I also got two. But the server is accepting turns based off the earlier, non-stale turn. So I suggest everyone use that one.

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

I wasn't expecting you to send such a big army either. You did manage to kill one of my air queens, so it wasn't all bad news for you.

I've got to say, battles between actual comparable forces...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

I got turn 49 in. But I am going to be away from the internet Friday night and all Saturday. If turn 50 is available early tomorrow, I may be able to play it. But I'm going to need extra time on...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players (ope

I agree. I'm not quite to the point where I can't get my turns in on time, but I probably will be soon. There is a lot more to think about every turn than there was 6 turns ago. I'm thinking in...

Re: Comparing it to Civ 4..

Incursion is a roguelike that is heavily based on D&D. It's more about creating and powering up your character than most roguelikes. It has a very complete D&D character system, with over a hundred...

Re: Comparing it to Civ 4..

I think incursion shows a lot of promise. I'm still not sold on the interface, although it has improved. The promising part is that there is so much to do, and almost all of it is fun. If the bugs...

Re: Mongoose - MA game for new/newish players

Don't worry about offending me. You certainly didn't say anything near as bad as Ermor did. I thought you were saying that what I did was legitimately not ok. Role playing makes learning the game...
