Just host a network game on better computer and launch another client on that comp too and join with that and also launch an client on the other comp for your gf.

When u launch the game remember to save and close your dm file, if you mod your dm with notepad you should close notepad before running the game. And if you can run the game go preferences, mod...

I don't think it's needed or very useful but make if u have some spare time. It could be useful if it offers some more things to mod, but i think it's not easy.
