Re: questions about modding a spell

Ragnarok-X

Gregstrom is absolutely right about CPCS, great examples in there.

I modified this from one of mine:

#newspell
#name "farsummon something else"
#descr "companion to farsummon...

Re: questions about modding a spell

Ragnarok-X

Easily done, this can be reproduced by a farsummon (wolves) with a commander farsummon nextspell (werewolf).

This effect can't be copied right now - I tried before. :( You could...

Re: Cinggis Qayan, Wrath of the Khans 3 eras -- Update 5

Hail,

Globu

While a mammoth might be a slightly better choice for the relative area, I chose to go with Mastodons - an animal uncovered in vanilla. Thanks for the sprite - I dig it!

Re: Out of memory: too many Mymallocs

Not sure. I don't remember why I got the error or how I fixed it. I would suggest downloading a third mod, and trying to load it without alteration. If it works, then you at least know the problem is...

Re: Out of memory: too many Mymallocs

Mallocs and mymallocs are subroutines used in C/C++ language. They affect memory allocation.

I had the same problem several months back on my XP machine. Maybe you have too many mods enabled or in...

Re: Problem with Itemslots.

Stavis_L

Luckmann, he's correct. If there are more than 8 slots, the game cuts down to 8 by removing misc slots.

The following monsters from my personal stat-testing mod all suffer from...

Red face Re: Cinggis Qayan, Wrath of the Khans -- Update 2: Three Eras

Humakty, sorry I didn't have long to work on the mod, and kind of uploaded WIP versions; I will correct this... Thanks!

House version was not supposed to be shared and contains my original...

Red face Re: Byzantine Pythium - hype/brainstorming thread

You are absolutely correct on all counts squirreloid; I merely meant the hiring of 'barbarian' mercenaries as a traditional carryover from when the seat of the church moved locations from the Eastern...

Thumbs up Re: Byzantine Pythium - hype/brainstorming thread

I very much love the idea! I'm unfamiliar with Pythium, but had the same thoughts when I tried them.

Hit the nail on the head with the vikings. The Varyags of Miklagaard isn't just a good song,...

Re: Cinggis Qayan, Wrath of the Khans -- Update 1

SlipperyJim and llamabeast, hello!

Entanglement was my first thought, but harpooning is definitely more appropriate for the lance! I played Sylvania a couple times, but don't want to bite code. I...

Re: Cinggis Qayan, Wrath of the Khans -- Update 1

Humakty, hello!

Agreed. Set gold price before I switched to longbows. Have a specific price in mind?

At this point, I'm really leaning the same way. I was already tempted to make it so.

Re: Cinggis Qayan, Wrath of the Khans

OK, so, I got *some* sleep; bear with me people. ;)
And soon I'll have to reread everything posted; I may have a large memory but, when I'm winding down from a manic episode, I tend not to retain a...

Re: Cinggis Qayan, Wrath of the Khans

Burnsaber, hello! I like Dwarfs. A lot!

That would work great, but I gotta tone everything down some more to be happy. ;) Although, that will work for any commander, right? I have some ideas.

Re: Cinggis Qayan, Wrath of the Khans

rdonj, again!

Yeah, I was trying to point out in my own way a heretic unit that I like; because, fluffwise, they are heretics and because they had such a different path from the other mages. I...

You are probably right, they are *right next door*, as it were.

Re: Cinggis Qayan, Wrath of the Khans

I always thought of the Gath nations as being Semitic, as nametype, unit/commander titles/names, startsites, heroes, etc. are *all* Semitic in origin. While they are truly great...

Is he famous? I don't know the names of those who model minis. I've also had similar experiences with 40k models, most recently Orks. (I would absolutely love a greenskin mod!)

It may...

Truth be told, I hadn't even considered that aspect! Very helpful.

Randomness does seem good, and I also felt they were too cheap, for the most part. I only added researchbonus to servant/priest of bay-ulgen, bay-ulgen and (erroneously, Tengri)....

A poster named Globu had concerns as well, looks like it may be back to the drawing board. Historically, the average Mongol warrior would carry both the recurve bow for mounted use...
