I had a similar problem. built and layed over 400 mines and they didn't go off when the enemy flew thru them....
Turned out I hadn't put a warhead on them...
Check design to make sure they have...

You have to build a ship with a matter gravity sphere and move it to some asteroids (of the correct size).

To build a ringworld, you need 5 base stations with high density cable + 5 base...

cumulative systemwide building bonus warning?

I tend to play organic trait races a lot and keep getting the warning 'already a facility with this system wide ability' etc.
This happens when I build a med lab in a system with the breeding vats....

If you want to be sure that the sats and fighters are launched rather than staying in cargo....Build a freighter with launch bays for the number of sats / fighters you expect to be built per turn.

I think this is supposed to happen. Under the empire options, you can turn off the colony type selection screen altogether.

If you aren't sure about colonising somewhere then just tell the colony...

Make the construction column title buttons actually sort the list.
In the colonies view you can sort the list by any of the columns by clicking the top of the column...

OK, my idea was a warhead that did shield only damage or skipped armour. You can mount 4 warheads on a large mine, so make it 3 heavy shield killers and one regular warhead.

Or 2 regular warhead +...
