I don't see your system for setting-up pairing beyond the first round. Do you plan to collapse the list of remaining players after each round (keeping the relative ordering) and then simply matching...

two crossbows (or four) wouldn't be an advantage because it takes one whole body to reload and cock them. If you had two of them you'd spend twice as long getting them both ready to fire again...

maybe we should randomize the initial line-up order, so as to prevent meta-strategizing of signing up just after a player one feels confident about beating (not suggesting anything about Apsophos...

Pasha's maps are always top notch. Dawgbiscuit is good for 2-4 players. Bering is for 7. Alexandria, Asia Twist, and Greece Stain are good for larger games (Greece Stain is 20 players, I can't...
