I think this is the hardest part, making a human have fun while not controlling the grunts.
But how about the name? Russian Civil War:Modern Warfare sounds good for a RCW scen.

I think Green troops perform worse when choosing ammo, because i once had a 75mm pak fire a sabot into a halftrack...

What is the visibility settings you use when night fighting?
i tend to play between 2 and 10, not sure if that's anywhere near reality, i find it hard to believe i could see things 500meters into...

AP always, most long guns have AP better than Heat,short(support) guns usually have poor AP, so for these you can trust heat to be of greater use than AP(esp for low ammo loads, where heat can be...

Russian civil war could be done if equipment is EXTREMELY limitated to fit the time period(tanks, MGs, planes...

Smaller Warheads do less damage and less destruction, but changing them all would be a pain for you...
i also think AP ammo destroys less often than HEAT when hit and penetrate.
