Re: TFW - Tumbledown

OK. I understand your question. You have to talk slow and use small words with me.:)

You are right. There are only three total scenarios. The one "What If" Argentina scenario allows you to...

Re: TFW - Tumbledown

There is both a british and argentinian "what if" scenario on Mount Tumbledown, as well. If you select "Begin a Camaign Mission," and then select "What If Missions," There are two mount tumbledown...

Re: TFW - Tumbledown

Shorty,

I think we are talking past eachother.

Mount Tumbledown IS one of the scenarios you can play as either side. When you start the game, slect "Begin Imported Scenario." From the menu of...

Not ALL of the missions are playable as both sides in single player. If you use the "Imported Mission" selection menu, you will see the ones that are playable as argentina indicated right next to...

Re: TFW - Tumbledown

Shorty,

There is a patch in the works to fix the stuck units problem.

If you select "Imported Scenario" from the opening menu, you will see the "play-as-Argentia" version of mount tumbledown...

Re: ATF vs BCT: what´s the deal?

ATF (and its successors, Raging Tiger, The Falklands War, and The Star and the Crescent) is a much more powerful game engine. In addition to a much more detailed model for simulation of...

Re: Ask for comparison

I am probably not the best guy to ask. I obviously have an opinion :)

You might try posing this question at GameSquad.com. It has a very active forum for aatf/atf.

Talking Awesome Mapping Tool

Gents,

An occasionaly complaint with scenario building over the years has been that map making is very difficult. The maps in AATF and ATF are very detailed and hyper-realistic, relying on...

Re: Raging Tiger: questions

Do you still have the ammo uploading problem when you show vehicles and try to load them individually? You might have to do that to upload some of the ammo.

The circles with arrows mean you can't...

Re: AAR of RT: The Breach added to AAR section

I have recommended HE for dismounts in the past, but only to conserve ammo. DPICM will obliterate troops, it is just overkill in most cases.

Re: Raging Tiger: The Breach

Great AAR.

Vehicles sometimes become stuck in minefields. I must, honestly, admit that it is not by design, but it is very realistic. You can "cut them out" by breaching to them.

Re: AAR of RT: The Breach added to AAR section

A few tips on arty.

1. DPICM is more effective than HE
2. Mass on targets. Fire as many guns as you can at one time on each target to ensure destruction.
3. Indirect fire + direct fire >...

I just installed a fresh install of RT and confirmed that the LOS tool is working as described.

During setup, you can click and drag units to new locations. If, while dragging, you...

Pigpen,

I think you might have found a bug in the RT scenario. Please, ensure you have the latest patch installed. In the meantime, I will check it out.

Make sure your ADA is in a spot with no...

Re: RT: how can I tell what version?

If you select "About" from the "Help" menu, it will tell you its version. If you just downloaded it, it should be current. But it doesn't hurt to check.

Centipede,

Thanks for the comment. We will look at adding this for the next iteration of the engine.

Re: ATF/Star & Crescent

As far as I know, the spacebar works exactly the same when placing or moving nodes in AATF. If it is not, let me know. You may have ID'd a bug.

Re: ATF/Star & Crescent

If you right-click as you move/place nodes, it will bring up the LOS fan. This saves you from switching constantly back between path planning and LOS. It should help you fine-tune your routes.
