I forgot to add that Point Defenses are rather expensive in resources and take ship tonnage. If you throw a few fighters/missle heavy fleets at your human opponent, he will have to start increasing...

Missles never miss. They either run out of range, their target gets destroyed, or they get shot down. If you cannot hit your opponent, missles are a counter to high defense.

Things inside are cloaked to some degree. You can see out of those or through those (no line of sight rules in SEIV).

Supply I component is too ineffective.

Two Engines (20KTs) store twice as much supply as one Supply I component (20KTs). The Supply components should be twice as effective as they are today or engines should store less than they do...

Engine Damage Rating Too High

Anyone ever notice that Engines take 20 KT of damage, but only occupy 10 KT. It would seem to me that engines should be fragile things that are easier to destroy, not harder than most. This suggests...

Weapon Mounts require a certain ship hull size to be usable. If you pick a ship/base with 400 KT, you can use a large mount weapon. Notice that weapon mount size for Ships have different KT break...

Cloaking is never automatic. You have to press the Cloak Button (or keyboard shortcut). Note that you do not fight if you move through enemy space cloaked and undetected. You must uncloak to fight...

Maybe PBW needs some sort of communication problem detection so that it stops automatically processing turns if an unusually high percentage of games had not submitted turns in a period of time.
