Keep in mind how long it takes you to do a turn then multiply that by 11 for the AI's.

The logic routines are going to take time as the Empires grow and the number of ships increase.

I hear u can set up a LAN. Run each 1st turn of the host then turn 2 onward from the other computers. Haven't tried but read where that works for some folks.

Here is my take on what you asked. I've been playing SEV for 3 weeks.

1. I find it easier to track movement and like the looks better than SE4. I never know in SE4 if i moved my ships correctly...

Can you address some of the AI's Intel usage (or lack of Intel) in the new release?

From what I can tell the AI doesn't build Intel Centers or use Intel at all.
