Acording to "The histories of kings in Brittan", there is a reference to an 'Arutha Pendragon' and this is whom many believe is the basis of the King Arthur legend. 'Caliburn' is the name taken from "La morte d'Arthur" and is also referenced in a book called "In search of Arthur's Brittan" Excalibur is a modern day interpretation of those early legends. (probably some writer thought it was a stroke of genius to combine the word Extract and Caliburn to form Excalibur!) But I digress, like most legends it is subject to interpretation, my Version just involved a bit more research that the traditional one!
Cheers!
