For some legal mumbo-jumbo reason I have not yet determined, Gamesnet has morphed into Gamesurge. So, you will need to connect to irc.gamesurge.net for the server, rather than east.gamesnet.net (or west). Check out the gamesnet website (http://www.gamesnet.net/) for further details.
