I didn't know this. Are there more components, which have different features depending on where are they placed (ships, WP)? E.g. I think placing ECM on WP has no sence because the planet still has a large diffensive disadvantage.
It might make a difference in ground combat when troops are shooting at them.  Not that that makes it a good idea to use ECM on them or anything. |
