If MM would add another happiness effect you could make Bloodthirsty workable. We have change per million population killed, but
not change per million enemy population killed! If your moral ecould be affected by enemy causalties you could keep your bloodthirsty population happy by always being at war & killing enemies. Which sounds pretty logical.
And conversely, an 'ethical' happiness type could be negatively afected by enemy population killed. This would make figting genocidal wars very difficult and force other strategies, like occupation and just clever political maneuvers to minimize the need for casualties.
