hmm, not quite sure if your conclusion is correct on this one .
The way I see it is that the posting of the screen shots raised a lot of questions and speculations. After you posted the interview a lot of questions were answered and speculations verified/falsified.
My guess is that people like the rumor mill and to specualte. After some facts were released there is just less to speculate about .
(edit: not that the posting of facts is a bad thing... quite the opposite. Thanks for doing so.)
