you know, I was taught that up until the 4th grade. I would have to say that the public school system is not quite as effective as it should be. On the other hand, when I was learning fencing at UT from an olympic medalist, I was first taught techniques that were incorrect simply because they were easier to teach and learn. once we were capable of appreciating the RIGHT way of doing things, we were shown why the way we were first taught was wrong. likewise, I would not expect second graders to comprehend the true socio-economic causes of the war, nor would I try to teach them anything but good patriotic propaganda. nor would I expect anyone outside of the states to give two ****s about this conversation. turn down the flames dudes, this is a friendly forum.
