Assuming that your directory name is the same as start of the picture file names, the computer will use them for randomly generated games, but, not for quick start (that is because quickstart is controlled by the Settings.txt file). The Star Wars ship set came with full AI txt files from memory so you shouldnt have any problem there.
Think you'll have to provide a few more details about what Star Wars files you have got loaded (files and filenames etc) before anyone can get more specific advice...
