The problem with the AI is that in big galaxies, have problems to decide were need to attack or to defend, because have more potential places to defend/attack. Then, agree that is a LOT more weak in big galaxies.

Sure, playing in small galaxies you can't feel the "epic" side of the game... then I strongly suggest if you play big galaxies, that you play with AI vs humans.
