Okay, you find out you have 1.0 year, 10 turns, till your star goes nova.
How long does it take to build 11 Starbases, around one star. By my reckonings teh 11th, and most important star base still takes 1.4 Years to build. By which time we are all dead.
I think that MM should have definitely included a way to neutralise such events, and It'd also be ncie to have that 'Your sun will explode in about 5 weeks time, please run away killing billions of lives. . .
