Better still, start with fleet one sector away from the opener. Order it to move to the opener, then move to the target system. When it arrives at the opener it finds a brand new warp point leading to just where it wants to go. This manuveur cost one move point. Your way cost two.
Tons of nifty things like this you can do with openers and closers.
