Ha-ha. Been there, done that.
I once had a fleet attack a world three times (in strategic), each time astounded when I looked at the battle reports and saw how little the planet had been damaged. Took a look at the fleet and the supplies had bottomed out of my heavy hitters. I made a race for quantum reactors after that.
