Hint: use the shiny side of a CD as a rear-view mirror. positioned correctly, no-one will ever sneak up on you again. Failing that, opening a small black window (MSpaint will do) in the corner of your screen reflects quite nicely...
Seems this is turning out to be a "how to avoid the tiresome boss" thread. All tactics appreciated, however...
