i can see your point on the sphere but on the ring world i think it would be a little far fetched to say that the sun couldent suport for anything else...

I agree with what was said earlyer though...
maybe for a ring world you would take 1 planet/asteroid out of the area up to however many it would take to get downto say 3 planets (possably including moons... and on a sphere world it sucks every thing not a sun up to create it...
