Fyron yes i know, but hey, its still lotsa energy!
EDIT: dont you need to make it go at 3x10^8m/s?
Not quite, partially because c is slightly less than 3x10^8 m/s (not that it matters too much), partially because at c an object, regardless of rest mass (as long as it is non-zero) would have infinite energy (side note: it would require infinite energy to get it up to that velocity, so you haven't really gained anything that way); the formula is something like:

(1/(sqrt(1 - (v^2)/(c^2))))m(c^2)

As v approches c, (v^2)/(c^2) approaches 1, 1 - (v^2)/(c^2) approches 0, so 1/(sqrt(1 - (v^2)/(c^2))) approaches infinity. Multiply infinity by a positive nonzero number, such as m(c^2), and you get infinity.

Nah, to totally convert the squirrl, you would either need to bump it up against an anti-matter squirrl or to it or toss it into a black hole and get the energy out slowly via Hawking Radiation. There might be another method that is presently unknown, but don't hold your breath waiting for it to be discovered; such discoveries usually take a long, long time.
