When the AI takes forever to do their turn it can only mean one thing...Well, two if you count that you have a slow computer possibly.
But the main thing would be that it is time to play PBW! You don't have to wait for the AI to play their turn. All action is processed on the server and emailed to you. How much better is THAT!?!
(Geo, we can talk how much I get paid for promoting PBW later.
