Yes this is another of my How To Balance/Solve threads, but basicly its a thought i got. In most games bigger weapons are offset by cost factor.
Supposedly it should be about the same cost to build, say, two destroyers or one LC or CR. It is not how it is set in SE because the bulk of the cost comes from 'other' components (engines, shields, armor, electronics)
Vanilla SE has 150%, 200% and 300% cost for Large, Heavy and Massive, accordingly. How about making it 300%, 400% and 600% instead? that realy would make the difference, i think. Long live small ships!
