Interesting replies. I don't mean to knock nostalgia per se, but when a game dies, there is no need to mourn too much. I came to SEIV because I was missing games like Star Control and the original MOO (I won't touch MOO3).
I guess you could say it was because of nostalgia. But I'm not going back to the old games. Compared to today's games, they begin to pale. But the feelings and wonder of discovery was what it was all about for me. So I'm not disagreeing, I'm just saying that new things can often be better than old, if you keep an open mind. Take Starfury, for instance. I can't wait!
