Hey all. I'm currently moving out of my apartment. I'll miss some PBW turns, so this is kinda on topic. Sorry for ruining this off topic thread like that.

O.K. my rent is inexpensive. I'll grant that. But the people upstairs have driven me consistently nuts. They walk like a herd of elephants, never at the hours of 4:30 to 7 pm. Oh no. The proper time for dragging furniture, walking rapidly back and forth for an hour, vacuuming, hammering cabinets, and dropping heavy objects is between the hours of 11:00 and 2:30 AM.
But don't worry about getting an early start, they start again at 5:00 AM.
Yay. 3 hours of sleep for me. Then it's off to have a full day at a job where I'm hardly appreciated. Sheesh.
To quote the bard of South Park. "Fudge 'em" Fudge'em all. I'm moving back to mom's house. It's all paid for, so when I get a lower paying job locally, I'll be money ahead. The neighbors there suck too. But at least they're 3 meters away most of the time. And nobody tap dances on my head.
*SIGH* The guys over my head are a pair of Russian retirees. Perhaps with a third convalescent guy. They don't work. Probably, their kids are coming in late at night to help out. Thing is ... this is their life...permanantly.
My sister has the same problem. The people over her head vacuum at any time. Constantly. They are living off their disability payments. They have no reason to start working, live normal hours, or *shock* *horror* *gasp* save money, and advance their situation.
Contrast that with the people in the apartment beneath me. Working two jobs, and going to community college. They'd like to rest for a few hours, but the guy next to me just took in his friend. Divorced, on a fixed income, he lets his friend play guitar late into the night. Do I like his acoustic rendition of "Ziggy Stardust"? Sure. Could someone tell him that floor isn't a stage, and doesn't need his foot to keep the beat?
Well, I'm signing off soon. I have to patch the holes I bashed in the ceiling with that broom handle. Those Russians don't know how lucky they are I don't own a shotgun.
