It gives car pooling a new level of importance. If I drop the wife off down town, we use her car @30>35mpg. If I ditch the grand tour of down town Baltimore and drive myself then I have a choice of the K1500 @14>16mpg or the SS at about 20mpg

Most of the trip is on US 70 and usually at 80 to 90 mph.(Very cool in the SS ) It's the back roads from 70 to my home that are the worst part of the trip. The traffic in Baltimore is usually not that bad.

Man if there was ever an excuse to find a job closer to home, this would be it. Oh wait, I lived in Vancouver and worked in Seattle for a while. That was a 2.5 hour drive on the best of days, and I shudder to recall the worse of days.
