What if they are using stealth armor instead of actual cloaking devices? I just discovered stealth armor while reading through components.txt today - never bothered researching armor high enough to get it before, and am intrigued by the possibilities and limitations of it.

If you cloak them, they won't sweep mines. Doesn't matter what the means of cloaking is. Not sure if this is a feature or a bug, but it is the way it works.
