Will they be just like fighters? Or will they actually be ground/space dual-capability units, like Gundams? Is that possible in the current game, to have units that can fight in space and on planets?

I had this idea before I actually recieved my copy of SEIV. Originally I wanted them to be a cross between fighters and troops, but that was impossible. Then I tried doing a mod where the mechs were basically pumped up fighters but I found that the fighter stacking thing (and the inability to strategically launch fighters individually) grossly unbalanced the game.
Then came drones and I figued that converted drone hulls would be perfect, but the order restrictions were too great. So now they are essentially ships between 30-55kt with intrinsic attack and defense bonuses equivalent to that of a fighter minus max training bonuses, modified for size, tech level etc. The mechs have a max# of engines of 5 (so that the fastest of ships will still outpace them) but bonus combat movement that basically goes up with level (starts at +1 goes to +3).
I have mounts for most components (except those that do not fit with the "Mech" concept such as shipyards and stellar manipulation. This also encourages mixed fleet design) that reduce tonage to 10% and structure/damage/supply to 50%. They also have a special PD mount to reflect the mecha tendancy to doge/shoot down incomming missiles. Other mounts may have different characteristics (like the armor mount that reduces structure to 60% instead of 50%, and various special mounts restricted to certain mech sizes). Over all you have an inexpensive, easy to produce, and agile alternative to a ship based fighting force. The Elite Mecha was designed to be loosely equivelant to a battlecruiser. From my play testing they seem to be quite balanced and fun. But I still want to test it out with human players to finetune it.

I'll see what I can do with the Namovans.

Took a lok at the Azorani and I think that they would make excellent light mechs. Could you add in some kind of propulsion components (jet packs, fatter boots, etc.)?

Light Repair Bot
You like?

For a repairbot I liked the first one better (from a few Posts back). It seemes to be more prepared for intensive repair work. As for the heavy and the light, can you make the heany seem less like a walker robot? These are completely spacebound bots and I'm trying to stay away from the groung-pounder look. For the light, it kinda reminds me of a mobile operating table. Can you make it a little more industrial?

No problem, just remember to give credit to the artists on the doga website (and you can throw me a little kudos for the Elite Mecha).
Re: Armored Core - Yeah I love that game. I have all three of the PS1 instalments (don't have a PS2 yet).
