Because they are defending property (albeit 'intellectual' property) -- the center-piece of the capitalist religion. If these raids were about something else, like trying to catch people having un-approved sex, then it would be an outrage and a violation of civil rights. But property is the first of all 'rights' in this society and no one dares to question any measures directed towards protecting or even extending it to new areas.
