Re: RIAA
Whew, thank God, Atrocities, that we are back on topic, that you are a cynical bastard, and that you don't hate me because I drive an SUV (is an 87 Ford Bronco II considered an SUV?) and talk on my cell phone (I do try to avoid it while driving.)
I have been reading quite a bit about the RIAA and their current tactics. Being an amateur guitarist and writer I can respect not wanting to see my works traded about the internet without my consent. Unfortunatley, the RIAA has neither the artists' or the consumers' best interest in mind. I recently had to reformat my HD and have yet to reinstall a P2P program. I'm thinking I will go a while and make a list of songs I haven't gotten yet, load a program, dl the songs, delete the program, burn the songs, and take the songs off my HD. I prolly won't be buying anymore music from anyone belonging to RIAA. Maybe we, on this forum, could set up a list of MP3s each of us has and do a little swapping of our own... oh wait, I hear someone knocking at my door and my firewall is detecting someone trying to hack my computer... Big Brother is Watching You...
