Ever since its invention and heavy use in WW2 Spam has been the state food of Hawaii if not officially then at the very least unofficially.
They even have warehouses with emergency stockpiles of Spam in the event that their supply of Spam is cutoff. Wouldn't want an economic downturn due to decreased Spam availability.
