If a planet recognises the cloaking ability, it must be possible to cloak a planet. And it was apparently supposed to be working before. Try setting up a planet with a cloak facility and using the hot key for cloaking on/off in a 1.84 game. It might work.
Actually... cloaking facilities do NOT cloak planets now.
