3.5 has a lot of new stuff, yes things are more organized, but their are also a lot of improvements. First of the ranger is actually a viable class now, whearas before, the ranger (and the paladin for that matter) where heavily front loaded, making it only worthwhile to take one or two levels of them. The ranger is also a lot more of a woodsmen now then he was before, before he was just an alternate fighter.
