Default Re: Got a possibly noobish question

Gravity had inertia can be represented by regarding the two dimensional grid as though it is not a flat Version of three-space but rather that the two axis represent different values of velocity. Thus a planet's sector is not a bound area of three-space, but instead is the orbit of that planet.

Note that a one-sector asteriod field is not called field, but a belt. Now the matter of 'thrust' makes some more sense, as constant thrust is required to move from one speed and direction to another. Still this is someone lacking without QNP.

And, as Fyron says, it is a game and not a simulation.

As for the Spaceports, I have figured that there is some innumerable host of tiny merchanct vehicles that can go anywhere, and carry that portion of your production that is not represented in storage.

The instantaneous transfer of this production, and of communication, is a whole different matter.
