With AIC you CAN and it will be a whopping profit with resources, Intel, Research and Storage

And I like that Colony developement addition with AIC Colonial Settments, Comunities, Towns,Cities, b]Racial Cities[/b], Metros, Megas, Huge Population Centers, Racial Culture Centers and New World Colonial Populaation Centers
All this along with the all the basic se4 Minning and other resource gathering facilities - all this along with dozens of other other neat speacle facilities
