Well, I asked that the map have "interesting stellar phenoms" and some number of super long-range Warp points. I think these both add flavor and the latter adds some measure of "strategic" systems that, ideally, will take on RP aspects ("The Exiles of Kor control the jump-6 route to the Beta Cluster, so we've got to be deal with their wacked out philosophical musings every time we go through there.."). Maybe wishful thinking. I have no idea what "interesting stellar phenomena" the map builder put in, but he assures me it is interesting and new.
Hmmm.. the black list. I just edited it out I guess. The second person blacklisted was listed as BLed "becuase [the former host] can" which was fine, but I'm the host now so I didn't feel comfortable with that reasoning. And I don't think the other player is joining anyways, so it was moot to have them listed also.
I have increased the max number of players. That was an omission on my part.
Yeah, the trading ships thing is problematic. I'll bring it up to the other players about outlawing that too perhaps. But I didn't want to change things willy-nilly (more than I had, at least) since the game was started with those aspects as listed. Didn't want to change the "ground rules" after people had joined with them already set up.
So....wanna join?

Why is it at a maximum number of players, yet you are asking for more to join? You might want to get a PBW admin to increase the number (since the game host can not if the game is full, unless he is a player and drops out to increase the number, then joins again).

All that does is prevent you from trading theoretical techs, of which there are not many. All you have to do is exchange a single BSY with the trading partner, and you can trade hulls designed to be analyzed without having to take any time to travel. You can still get techs from analyzing even if you do not have the prereqs, though you will not be able to research them further until you get the prereqs. Just food for thought.
