I would like to be the Research Minister, and be a mad genius scientist, inventing new weapons and technology, always coming up with crazy new ideas, and having a big team of scientists and engineers to help me. I'd have a gigantic laboratory in the head research facility on the home planet, and the place would look like a huge clutter, with partially-built nuclear reactors, beam weapons, engines, and so on all over the place, with busy technicians in lab coats always scurrying around, testing, modifying, constructing, and growing stuff. I'd be running around, closely working on my favorite projects, and directing all the research and development. Project leaders working on different designs will constantly be running up to me to get advice, and then be running back to their areas to work on their projects with their own teams.
