I must say that I didn't feel insulted by the thread but what Growltigger is saying is nearly the same I'm feeling about this matter (small wonder if you read my profile).
Many of the things people get upset about are results of the US law system that are just alien to the German law. There is no punitive damage in German civil law whatsoever so forget about cashing in millions in Germany. You "only" get your damage compensated and you have to prove what damage you actually have. A well, I will stop whining about it, Growltigger said it a lot better then I can do in English.
