My grandfather is fairly computer savvy. It all depends on the person.
Most older people (60+) are not very good with computers because they are a completely foreign concept to them. Not having worked with them in your youth and such provides no reference point to fall back upon, and thus generally causes confusion. There are of course exceptions, but it is a general trend.
