Ween, it seems to me, is intentionally pissing me off. For some reason it feels very personal... so I don't care for that.
But some good, four-part harmony a capella gospel
is, in fact, soothing music. It's a real shame that the only place a cappella seems to have in secular music is R&B. There's so much you can do with it that R&B never does.
